For over 150 years, the Mahadev Temple in Sitapur has been a sacred refuge for devotees and dharmic seekers. Today, this last standing legacy is at risk of vanishing into dust. Shiva’s presence still blesses the soil but the temple that houses His energy is collapsing. Let us not be the generation that forgets. Let us be the ones who restore. Through Ramdoot Restores, you can become a guardian of faith and history. Support this divine mission your seva can keep Shiva’s light shining in Sitapur.
The Ramdoot Restores initiative by Team Ramdoot Restores proudly announces its next restoration project — the revival of the 150-year-old Shiva Temple in Keshawpur, Sitapur.
Hidden in the heart of the village, this forgotten temple was once built by a humble family guided by divine vision and unshakable faith. Though time has left it worn and silent, its legacy still calls out.
Our mission is to restore this sacred space with care, authenticity, and respect — bringing back its spiritual essence and reconnecting it with the community it once anchored.
Now, through the Ramdoot Restores initiative, Team Ramdoot Restores is answering that call.
Though time has taken its toll — with cracks in the walls, faded carvings, and a worn-out sanctum — the soul of the temple remains alive.
This restoration will involve:
Structural strengthening of the temple foundation and roof
Re-plastering with traditional lime-based mixtures
Restoration of original carvings and motifs, using skilled artisan work
Repairing and resetting stone pathways and temple boundaries
Reinstallation of the garbhagriha (sanctum) with respect to original orientation
Recently, the villagers — moved by devotion — attempted to revive the temple themselves.

But due to lack of resources and expertise, parts of the structure were unintentionally damaged. The once intricate garbhagriha was flattened, and several broken but restorable pieces were lost in the process.
That’s when Team Ramdoot Restores was called in.
We are now stepping in with trained conservationists, traditional craftsmen, and temple architects to restore the structure professionally and respectfully — ensuring the temple regains its original character, beauty, and sacredness.
